BNW 06: Bleeding Heart Fauna

Bleeding heart flower, chosen to represent nature within us as a race, as a woman. Nature just reminds me of femininity. And as a leader in the riot grrrl feminist movement, i chose Kathleen Hanna as my reference. model: Kathleen Hanna

BNW 05: Biological Warfare

Its strange how at one point in our humanity, we all fought wars with fists and steel, and we'd hope to evolve into a more sophisticated society where we would battle with words and diplomacy, and instead here we are, using our blood and disease instead to silently put us to sleep. Its twisted, and sad, but hopefully we'll move on forward.

BNW 04: Humane

lethal injection is interesting. Its legal in many states, alongside with the less popular but still active electrical chair and firing squad. even hanging. we're so olde timey huh? I myself was surprised to know all the statistics our nation has over such...primitive sentencing methods, after doing research on the topic...

BNW 03: Narce-iz-us

Sayin something about how people resist the whole aging gracefully thing. And because of it we will one day become monsters and wish for our old saggy fleshy selves. Perhaps.

Bizarre New World

Posted above and in latter times, I will be expanding on my project for Adam Ross' class, which i chosen to [secretely] name Bizarre New World, after inspiration from Aldous Huxley's Brave New World. Below is the statement I turned in to Adam to explain my agenda. I guess.

I intend to use this project to create ten/eleven pieces about the perversity/controversy created with certain advancements in science. The project is going to touch on some hopefully more universal issues such as what had happened with the advancement of atomic technology, [ Hiroshima etc.] as well as smaller more present day occurrences such as plastic surgery and the destruction of the individual through these “advancements”. I don’t mean to be overly cynical or bitter in my point of view, just express a view that is sometimes forgotten in the excitement of progress. I suppose this project is more on the obstruction of nature more than anything
